Cherokee Museum

The Cherokee area was at its height from 1870-1886. Settled in 1853 by a school teacher and his Cherokee Indian students from what is now the state of Oklahoma, it was primarily a mining community during its boom. The museum features gold mining artifacts and other pioneer memorabilia.
