Bidwell Canyon

This Campground and marina at the southern end of the lake has 70 camping sites and is home to the old Bidwell Bar bridge (seen in original form here). Bidwell Bar was a rich mining site now lost beneath the waters of the lake. The bridge(shown here prior to the building of the dam) was one of the first suspension bridges on the West Coast. It was moved when the dam was constructed. To reach the area follow the signs of Kelly Ridge Road.
