Janet Turner Print Museum

California State University, Chico is the home of the Janet Turner Print Gallery and repository of her extensive collection of fine art original prints. Named in honor of the late Janet Turner, professor of art at CSU, Chico for 25 years.
Prints from the collection are also displayed in cases in Ayres Hall where most of CSU, Chico's art classes are held. The Turner Collection represents a spectrum of printmaking techniques from over forty countries and six centuries.
Begun by Dr. Turner as a source for her students artistic inspiration and for educaitonal purposes, this collectin continues to serve art students as she intended by providing a direct art experience. Private donations and purchases by the "Friends" continue to enlarge its scope.
The Janet Turner Print Collection and Gallery's mission is to preserve, exhibit, collect, research and interpret its fine art print collection for the education and enjoyment of students, educators and the regional community.
