Satava Art Glass

Using ancient techniques to create original designs in handblown glass, Satava creates works of art, individually crafted, by carefully combining the highest degree of technical skills and artistic creativity.
Well known for his vivid colors and unique portrayal of nature, Satava's works are included in numerous public and private collections throughout the world. Jim Radey has been working with Richard the longest, since 1982. He is skilled in both the design of the Moon Jellyfish and all the vases, as well as many of the technical aspects of the studio.
Ron LaFevers, hired in 1999, performs much of the cold working, which entails grinding and polishing the finished art glass. He also charges the glass every weekend.
Mark Del Fava, hired early 2000, performs and assists in the final shaping and finishing process on many pieces, especially the Moon Jellyfish sculptures. He also assists with the background decoration on the floral vases.
Peter Howell, hired August 2000, assists in the cold working, which entails grinding and polishing the finished art glass.
Tyler Wilson, hired October 2000, assists in design set-up, as well as, the cold working, which entails grinding and polishing the finished art glass. He also does all the signing and number on the bottom of each piece we make.
Owen Gabbert, hired April 2001, assists in the cold working, which entails grinding and polishing the finished art glass.
