Chico BrewHouse

Chico BrewHouse began nearly five years ago. “We built this place to brew beer but wanted to get our food element down first,” said owner Dan Goodrich.

Featuring a full-service restaurant and bar, the BrewHouse has 12 West Coast micro-brews on draft and delicious California cuisine. Full-scale brewing (a 10-barrel brew system) will be up and running by Fall 2001, Goodrich said.

John Abbott, former brew master for Kona Brewing Company in Hawaii, is Goodrich’s partner. “We’ll be offering traditional ales and American-style Porters but we’ll also be brewing non-traditional types such as a pomegranate mead.” Hours are Tues.-Thurs. 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m.; Fri. 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; Sat. 12 p.m.-10 p.m. and a champagne brunch is offered on Sunday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The restaurant and bar are open until 8 p.m. on Sunday and closed on Mondays.
